Colony Collapse Disorder (CCD)

RedHeaded Honey is committed and concerned for the environment.

Problems facing the honey bee affect our food supply in not only amount but cost. It is alarming to think about what could happen if honey bees are extinct. Knowledge being power, the following link leads a very informative web page on honey bees and the current problems they are facing.

Several things can be done by you and your community to make sure that we have the freedom to grow our own food and remain sustainable.

The following is a link to a petition that Haggan Daaz ice cream has started.

Another way to help is practice organic gardening and support your local farmers. If possible become a bee keeper yourself, it's fun and easy and can include the whole family. Many communities are coming together to do projects and events, the following is full of great information and ideas.
